From Lisa: Working as a yoga teacher inspired me to go into another helping/ healing profession: Occupational Therapy (OT). Studying at Columbia University where I obtained my degree gave me the tools to delve deeper into healing and helping clients find balance and wellness. I currently work as an OT and offer yoga as a component of my occupational therapy practice. My yoga practice has evolved over the years to a more slow and gentle one. My teaching style is based on the Iyengar method which focuses on alignment and gently opens the body using props to support each pose. It builds strength and endurance while respecting the body to avoid injury.
